Eline's communiemandje

Alweer een tijdje geleden deed mijn petekindje Eline haar communie en ik wilde voor deze speciale gelegenheid graag iets tastbaars voor haar maken. Enkele maanden daarvoor had mijn lieve vriendin Daan bij de crop die ik in het gildehuis organiseerde een boekje in een mandje gemaakt. Dat vond ik zo prachtig en ook perfect als cadeautje voor Eline. Mijn zus Yvonne had voor de communie-uitnodiging een aantal mooie foto's van Eline in haar communiekleding gemaakt in de tuin.
De romantische lijn Vintage Whimsey van The Girl's Paperie paste perfect bij deze lieve en vrolijke foto's. Van chipboard heb ik rondjes geknipt en deze met het papier beplakt en daartussen kant gedaan. Het mandje en de pagina's heb ik vervolgens met allerlei bloemen, vlinders en lint versierd. Het mandje is zo een mooie herinnering aan haar communie voor haar geworden.

Eline's communion basket
Already quite a while ago my precious godchild Eline had her communion and for this special occassion I wanted to make something memorable for her. Some months before at a crop I organized, my sweet friend Daan had made a little book in a basket. I thought that this was so beautiful and perfect as well as a gift for Eline. My sister Yvonne had made some gorgeous photos of Eline in the garden for the invitation to the communion.
The romantic line Vintage Whimsey of The Girl's Paperie is really perfect with these sweet and joyful photos. I have cut some rounds from chipboard and before glueing the paper, I have stapled a lace border around the chipboard. The basket and the booklet I have decorated with all kinds of flowers, butterflies and ribbons. The basket has become a beautiful remembrance to her communion.

Ponykamp Circus Toheli

Linde zat nog maar enkele weken op ponyclub "De Paardenvriendjes" of ze mocht al samen met Duco op ponykamp. Het thema van dat jaar was Circus. Linde maakte kennis met alle aspecten van het ponykamp: bij aankomst worden nieuwelingen gedoopt, 's avonds wordt er een uitnodiging gemaakt voor de ouders voor de familieavond, op dinsdag gezellig zwemmen, marshmallow roosteren bij het kampvuur, leuke spelletjes, spooktochten, pony's verzorgen en buitenritjes maken.
Ik heb van dit ponykamp drie spreads gemaakt met diverse lijnen van Graphic45, die altijd mooi met elkaar combineren, dus daar heb ik dankbaar gebruik van gemaakt. De keuze hiervoor was makkelijk, want Graphic45 lijn Le Cirque past prachtig bij de circusfoto's. Deze stijl wilde ik ook gebruiken in de spread van de foto's van de eerste dagen van het kamp om zo toch zoveel mogelijk tot een geheel te komen. Er zaten erg leuke paardjes tags bij de lijn Le Cirque, die ook mooi bij dat papier uitkwamen.

Pony camp Circus Toheli
Linde was so lucky, because a few week after she started with the pony club, they went on a pony camp. The theme of this years' camp was Circus. Linde got baptisted as it was her first camp, they played fun games, did ghost expeditions, roasted marshmallows at the camp fire, took care of the ponies and made nice trips in the forest.
I made three spreads of the pony camp with different lines of Graphic 45, which always combine beautifully together. This was an easy choice, because paper line Le Cirque of course suits splendidly with the photos of the circus. I wanted to keep this style as well for the photos of the first days of the camp, to make all three spreads as a whole. The nice horse tags of Le Cirque suited well with the other lines of Graphic 45 in the first spread:

Natuurlijk werden er allerlei mooie acts ingestudeerd zowel tijdens het kamp als door de "achtergebleven" familieleden, die op donderdagavond tijdens Circus Toheli werden vertoond. De kinderen deden een mooie oefening met de pony's, een dansje, en natuurlijk was grappige clown Linda er ook. Directeur Ton praatte alles aan elkaar. Paula had met leeuwtjes Teun en Ralph een gevaarlijke dompteursact, Jos balanceerde als een echte koorddanseres op het koord en de andere ouders hadden een moeilijke acrobatenact geleerd! Of course, the children studied different acts, but their parents did as wel. During the family night everybody took part in Circus Toheli. The children showed a beautiful act they practiced with their ponies, they made a dance, and Linda had a clowns act. Ton was the circus director who welcomed all the guests and commented on the acts. Paula did a dangerous tamer act with lions Teun and Ralph, Jos balanced like a real rope dancer and the other parents did a difficult acrobate act!
